This new community of the church that Paul has written about in Ephesians is a community of love and good works but its how we get to those that is also important. … that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being. (Eph 3:16) Paul prays for strength for the Ephesian church, the strength found in the Father’s presence, by being filled with the Spirit. There is power at work in us so we can pray and see more than we ever thought possible and know that in the church, God will be glorified.
Dave explains what it means to experience the “unsearchable riches of Christ” and what an amazing situation we find ourselves in as His chruch; those who have the mystery unveiled and are now telling the world. We truly have something that is the answer to the world’s problems and we can start shouting about it!
God is at work all the time amongst us, it is He who has joined us together and enabling us by grace to work and worship together for His glory. Dave shares his heart that you continue to know the truth that God has built you into his church to love and worship him together with the rest of the body. You belong.
As we continue in our series on Ephesians; Paul writing to the Church is thankful for their ongoing faith but He also wants God to open the eyes of their hearts to see all that they have in the Lord Jesus. The same is true for us – be thankful be encouraged and be blessed – you are rich in God’s grace. Dave Frodsham speaks from Ephesians 1.
We love seeing Jesus illuminated in church life and beyond. So as we step out boldly in using the gifts of the Holy Spirit we ask; what does it look like and what’s our part in speaking what God brings through the gifts? How far will God go to save lives? According to these parables Jesus tell us that the shepherd searches until He finds that which is lost. As we look at these stories of searching, we see how God works in a variety of ways to bring home His lost; and He is wonderfully working through us to reach people in amazing ways everyday.
Our life was set for jail and only the cross sets our record straight. We cannot then get tricked into taking up a lesser version of Christianity that relies on other stuff. Keith Gamon brings us this theme to help us as we live as Church together – our inclusion in church family being based solely that we are in Christ. With hearts that are accepting towards each other we begin to affect the world around us with this radical…
