frequently asked questions
Where is the church building?
The Jubilee Centre is at 12 Hose Side Rd, New Brighton, Wallasey CH45 0LA.
What time does it all start?
Our Sunday morning meetings start at 10.30am and end at approximately 12noon, although we serve tea and coffee afterwards.
Can I park easily?
Yes. There is lots of parking on Hose Side Road and in other roads surrounding the Jubilee Centre.
Do I need to bring a face mask?
It’s up to you! If you wish to wear a mask, that’s entirely your choice but we won’t ask you to. We do have disposable masks available at the entrance. We do ask that visitors use the hand sanitiser provided.
Are toilets available during the meeting?
Yes. We also have accessible toilets for those in wheelchairs.
Can I get to the church by public transport?
Yes. If you’re travelling by bus, Arriva’s 414 service runs regularly and stops at the end of Hose Side Road, just a few minutes’ walk away. For more information visit www.merseytravel.gov.uk/
Alternatively, New Brighton and Wallasey Grove Road railway stations are both approximately 15 minutes away by foot. For information about train times, visit www.merseyrail.org/
Is there any kind of dress code?
No, not at all! We recommend that you wear the clothes you feel most comfortable in.
I’ve never been to church before. What should I do when I arrive?
We have a welcoming team who will welcome you to Jubilee and do their best to ensure you have as enjoyable a time as possible.
I have children, can I bring them?
Absolutely, please do! We have four junior groups – Sparks for ages 0-4, Flames for school years 1-6, Firestarters for school years 7-9 and Trailblazers for school years 10-13. There’s more information about all our youth and junior groups here.
At present, we are unable to hold all our youth groups each week. We hold Flames and Sparks each week and our joint Firestarters/Trailblazers meetings every other week.
Do I need to bring any money?
No, absolutely not! All refreshments are free of charge. There is an opportunity to give to Jubilee Church Wirral but please do not feel under any obligation whatsoever to give.
Do I need to bring a Bible?
No. Please feel free to bring one if you wish, but there is absolutely no need to bring a Bible.
Do you sing hymns from hymn books?
No we don’t. We do have a time of worship at the start of the meeting when we sing modern worship songs but all the words are displayed on a screen above the band.
