in The Excellence of Love, Dave talks about how we all have gifts, how Paul talks about earnestly desiring the higher gifts and not wanting to stay the way we are – and how the higher gifts aren’t always the ones we might imagine them to be.
He also emphasises how we are nothing without love and that it doesn’t matter how good and gifted we are if we don’t have love.
