church is changing
but it hasn't gone away.
Jubilee Church Wirral is a church which is passionate about following Jesus and helping God to change lives all over the Wirral.
Due to Covid-19, we have had to change the way we do things – but we are still here to welcome new members, support our people and play an active role in the community.
On this page you will find how Jubilee is facing the challenges of pandemic guidelines while still continuing to be a force for good in Wallasey, Wirral and beyond.
You will also find details of how you can stay in touch and worship with us as a church during this most difficult of times, how you can ask us for help, and – if you are in a position to do so – how you can offer help.
In Acts 8:5, as the church scatters after the persecution in Jerusalem, Philip, Peter and John keep preaching the word and spreading the gospel of Christ – and this is what we intend to do at Jubilee. Read the full passage here.
We were thrilled to hold our first Sunday meeting following the partial easing of lockdown on Easter Sunday, and there will now be regular weekly meetings at the Jubilee Centre until further notice.
Each meeting will start at 10.30am and will be socially distanced family meeting with places limited to 60 people.
To book a place, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be in touch.
Due to regulations, we are not able to hold all our youth groups each week. This Sunday (April 11), there will be a Flames meeting in the small hall, with a combined Firestarters/Trailblazers meeting on April 18. We will continue to alternate our youth groups in this way until further notice.
We will continue to take advice and direction from the government both nationally and locally and also from Christcentral as we move from that day towards eventually having unrestricted meetings.
We will continue to host Life Groups Together and prayer meetings on Zoom each month and we would encourage you to engage with those if you can. We realise this is a difficult time and we are praying for you all, particularly those who have family members who are unwell.
We look forward to the day when we can sing together, share space and drink coffee. Please keep praying that the pandemic continues to decline across the UK and the world.
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV)
The Jubilee Centre will reopen for bookings from Monday 12th April but the office will be open from Tuesday 30th March.
youth and children on sundays
We are excited to be offering Sunday morning children's ministry sessions from Sunday 11th April 2021!
On April 11, there will be a Flames meeting in the small hall from 10.25am. We will be providing our youngsters (school years 1-6) with a fun hour-long session. We will be learning about the Bible, singing and dancing and playing games. There might even be an opportunity to have fun with some craft.
During lockdown, we made weekly videos for our Flames youngsters with Bible stories, craft activities and lots of ways to have fun! These videos can be watched here on the website.
On April 18, we will be providing a combined Firestarters/Trailblazers meeting on April 18. We will continue to alternate our youth groups in this way until further notice.
We will, of course, continue with Sunday night Zoom meetings for our Trailblazers (school years 10-13) and Firestarters (school years 7-9) groups on alternate Sundays from April 11 at 7.30pm until further notice.
During our youth Zoom meetings we are working through How to the Read the Bible by Nicky Gumbel.
The Zoom meetings are more than Bible study, though; they’re a great time to meet – albeit virtually – with other members of our youth groups for chat, fun, games and prayer. Our young people certainly seem to enjoy them!
To receive a Zoom invite to our Trailblazers/Firestarters Zoom meetings, email our Director of Youth and Children’s Ministry Danielle Wynn at email@example.com.
Details about our youth groups can be found here.
Our Firestarters group meeting pre-pandemic
Although we are unable to offer our crèche facilities as yet, we continue to send out weekly emails to families with crèche-age children (children 4 and under) which include Bible story videos with singing, dancing, craft and games.
If you would like to add your name to our mailing list, please email Director of Youth and Children’s Ministry Danielle Wynn at danielle@
life groups together
Before COVID-19, our Life Groups met on different nights throughout the week in our Life Group leaders' homes, with meetings in Upton, New Brighton, Saughall Massie and Arrowe Park.
As we are presently unable to hold Life Groups due to government guidelines, we have launched "Life Groups Together", an online Zoom meeting every other Wednesday from 8pm to give all our church members the opportunity to support each other and ask for prayer during this most testing of times.
Our Life Groups meet on alternate Wednesdays from January 6 (January 20, February 3, February 17, March 3, March 17).
Our Life Groups Together meetings are open to anybody who would like to see some friendly faces, and join a small community of believers who can love, encourage, provoke, support and believe in them.
We also hold regular prayer meetings over Zoom. To receive an invite to our next Life Groups Together or Prayer meeting, email firstname.lastname@example.org
