As we look to continue our series “Making disciples” we need to look at what it means to be disciple-making disciples.
In Luke 10v9, Jesus sends out His disciples saying:
“Heal the sick in the town and say to them, The Kingdom of God has come near to you.”
We should be gospel living wherever God has put us. We bring the Kingdom of God into the places we go. The message of Jesus is good news that’s fundamentally what the word Gospel means.
Paul, as he speaks to the Roman church in Romans 1:16, says:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
It reveals the righteousness of God and we can therefore continue to live by faith. So gospel living is living by faith, trusting God and believing Him that he will come again.
The writer to the Hebrews says in Hebrews 13 verse 8:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
So we can trust God in our present, and because of our past and for the future. God loves our faith and he wants us to share this good news, wherever we find ourselves believing that he will reveal his righteousness.
