This week Chris speaks to us about walking in who we’ve become in God – getting hold of the great things God has put into us and has stored up for us, simply because we belong to Him. He has paid for you to know the fullness of His favour and love – you can’t earn it, but you live in it through faith.
As we approach the summit of our series in Luke, Dave challenges us to stand strong in life as Jesus himself stands with us in every situation. Looking at the amazing outworking of God’s plan throughout history, we see a God who is for us not against us – His good plans for you will never fail.
We all experience burnout at some point in our journey of life and today we look at a man who really knew what that meant. Elijah, the bible says, was a man just like you and me; so when we see how God’s grace worked for him in his burnout and disappointment, we can see how God wants to refresh and recommission you today.
Charlotte Webb from Jubilee Church Liverpool challenges the way we approach God in our lives. She asks what is the meaning of true joy and how can it be part of our everyday experience? We need to come to a new place of thinking, expecting God to breakthrough, but equally trusting in His sovereignty to bring about His perfect plans. Charlotte shares a story that brought her to a new place of finding joy in God’s sovereignty.
We all love using things that are well tested, whether it’s our car or our doctor! But when it comes to God testing us we can find that more tricky. Dave challenges us to take The King’s Test – to make the most of what God has put in our lives. As we are faithful with a little, God will give us more.
How often do we look at our circumstances and say to ourselves “when things change I can start serving God”? Graham looks at the amazing life of Paul in prison, and how powerfully God used him, even when in chains. He challenges us to see how God is able to work though our lives regardless of our circumstances and situations.
Great crowds were following Jesus, but He makes it clear that there is a cost in following Him. He demands our whole heart which will effect how we live and how we value other things. We need to consider all the costs before we follow and remember as we do follow. He is not a political leader but a rescue expedition leader and wants you as a recruit.
How do we pray? The vital questions around how we communicate with God are unfolded by Kevin, describing just what the bible tells us, and sharing his amazing stories of a God who always acts; although not always as we expect!
We need an ongoing encounter with the Spirit to keep seeing Kingdom advance. As we welcome Graham Webb from Jubilee Church Liverpool, he wonderfully tells stories from the book of Acts about a God who breaks in and changes lives. We find out how stepping out in faithfully, multiplies our spiritual muscles. What stops you from praying in every situation you find yourself in, and for the people you meet? Asking God for extraordinary miracles, and being faithful in the small things, leads us…
God has reserved a work for you here on Earth, and bucket loads of blessing in eternity. Are you running with and for God’s plan for you? Ewan challenges us to take hold of the important things in life and live for God each and every day we are given. Our times are in His hands, and He is faithful.
Dave looks at two well known accounts of Jesus calming storms; one external and one internal. Who then is this Jesus who has power to calm storms? Jesus’ challenge is ‘where are you putting your faith?’ Are you in a storm that feels out of control? Who or what are trusting in. And if Jesus has calmed your storms, your challenge is to head out and tell those you meet about what he’s done.
We all find it hard to love those we struggle with in our lives. Can we do more than just put up with, or ignore those we find difficult or who have hurt us? Can we actively find ways to love them? Listen to this challenging talk as Dave shares with us how we can bless, and love because God’s power within us make us able.
Michael and Nelleke Marcus share their stories about God’s amazing working in their lives and Michael brings us some wonderful challenges to trust in God’s promises from the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel.
Joseph Mwila from Zambia shares with us about getting through the storms of life as God works each and every one for His purposes. Be encouraged as you listen to Joseph’s own story and what an amazing adventure we have with Jesus in the boat.
Continuing our series in the book of Luke we find Jesus in the wilderness being tempted. Denis wonderfully describes how difficult these forty days would have been for Jesus, and through all Jesus’ sufferings, He fully identifies with everything we go through. This talk really challenges us to stand and take of hold this amazing Jesus as He give us forgiveness, strength power and love to live life for Him.
