Sermons on New covenant
You were designed for intimacy with God, for deep relationship with Him. You were designed to hear Him and to know Him, to trust Him and be trusted by Him. His desire for intimacy with his children is undiminished and He wants to go deeper with you.
What our good friend Jonathan Kent shared with us on Sunday was about identity and how that related in the Apostle Peter’s life. Also that there are identity thieves out there that want to take away our identity and circumstances that shake your identity and also those who fake this identity. He reminded us to know who we are; that we God’s chosen people, that our identity has changed forever and we are to live fruitful and purposeful lives.
Relationships can be one of the most rewarding and most frustrating parts of life and we need a lot of help to get them right. The good news is that God has restored our relationship with himself 100% – and now He gives us His power to ‘do’ relationships in a whole new way. We can live with open hearts towards everyone we meet and everyone we know – we are marked by His grace and His love.
Matthew walks with us through John 4 as we see Jesus share the good news of salvation with the Samaritans. We see that through Jesus, the excluded are now included! We also see how we obtain “living waters” that quench every thirst and how to keep drinking each and every day.
Today is your day of jubilee; your day of restoration. Jonathan Kent unfolds the amazing new reality we are now living in – as God’s spirit filled people. Today there is good news about God’s ‘jubilee’ in your life, the day that everything begins to change.
