Jonathan so encouraged us on Sunday to see the good news is all the better for really knowing what the bad news is. Paul reminds the Ephesians that they were dead spiritual in their sins BUT that God had made them alive in Christ – ground shaking truth.
Matthew walks with us through John 4 as we see Jesus share the good news of salvation with the Samaritans. We see that through Jesus, the excluded are now included! We also see how we obtain “living waters” that quench every thirst and how to keep drinking each and every day.
We react to news in many different ways – news can be amazing or very troubling. Here as we come to the completion of our journey through the book of Luke; we find the disciples are troubled and doubting what’s going on, they hadn’t realised just what an amazing thing was unfolding. Jesus appears and speaks straight into their fear – as He speaks straight into yours today. Fear and confusion is turned into confidence, worship and renewed lives.
