Sermons on Genesis
Learn from the warriors who have won battles with God throughout the bible. In the battle warriors get wounded but we can learn to heal up quickly, get back up and make a difference for Jesus. As Graham shows us what it means to be a warrior we discover how prophesy drives us forwards, that God is always working our battles for good, so we can rejoice in our amazing God.
Dave continues our series on Encounters with God, looking at the life of Jacob (the deceiver). It’s amazing how long we can go on striving to win the approval of God and of people. But like Jacob learns we find freedom in embracing our true identity of those who belong to, and are chosen by God.
Sometimes we are satisfied with less than the fullness of what God has for us. Today as we dive into another Encounter with God we see that believing the unfailing promise Maker allows us to step into the impossible. Dave shows us how living with full faith in God’s promise, draws us into the things of heaven, and the full life God has always wanted us to have.
When God’s story for Abram didn’t seem to be going the way he’d expected he told him to “Lift up your eyes”. Abram had to lift his eyes of faith to believe God’s promises, even though he couldn’t yet see how they would unfold. This week we welcome Michael from Grace Church Stoke-on-Trent to come and share this amazing story of how God gives us promises, but how we need to take hold of these promises again by faith. God will breath new life…

Michael tackles this key question by taking us through how God spoke in the bible and how He speaks to us today. The Word, the Spirit, dreams, visions and His creation; there are so many way God is speaking to us, are we ready to listen?
